In July 2026, TTD launched the Akshara Govindam-Annaprasanam initiative at Vakulamatha Temple. The program gives families a sacred setting to perform Aksharabhyasam, the formal beginning of education, and Annaprasanam, a child's first feeding of solid food. This is especially fitting at Vakulamatha's shrine, where the motherly aspect of devotion is central.

Devotees worship Vakulamatha with kumkum, turmeric, flowers, saree offerings, coconuts and prayers for family welfare. Fridays, auspicious days connected with Sri Venkateswara, children's rituals and family vows draw devotees.
